The operating loop — across all three dimensions

Increase your Integrity.

Move with Meaning.

Believe in Better.

Build the inner voice. Expose the chatter.

TRC does not ask you to silence every difficult thought. It helps you tell the difference between an inner voice strengthened by honest evidence and chatter amplified by cognitive bias, emotional noise, distraction, quick-hit reward loops and old settings.

The Vicious Cycle

How drift learns to protect itself.

The problem is rarely that you know nothing. Old settings keep producing evidence for themselves until the pattern begins to feel normal.

The Vicious Cycle is a closed three-stage loop. Centre organising concept: Negative Thought Pattern / Cognitive Distortion.

Stage 1 — Negative Approach. To your Core — Beliefs, Standards and Values. Often experienced as feeling overwhelmed or "in a rut."

Stage 2 — Dysfunctional Rules. Rules of engagement emerge through Assumptions (Mind), Actions (Body) and Attitude (Soul).

Stage 3 — Thought Loop. Minimises rational thinking, lowers motivation and escalates negativity. Loop returns to Stage 1.

Negative Thought Pattern

Cognitive Distortion

Stage 1

Negative Approach

To your Core — Beliefs, Standards and Values. Often experienced as feeling overwhelmed or "in a rut."

Stage 2

Dysfunctional Rules

Rules of engagement emerge through Assumptions (Mind), Actions (Body) and Attitude (Soul).

Stage 3

Thought Loop

Minimises rational thinking, lowers motivation and escalates negativity.

Returns to Stage 1

Old settings begin to feel inevitable.

The Vicious Cycle shows how drift protects itself. The Reset Loop is the practical response.

The two action engines

The Reset Loop

3×P works on the record. 3×N works on the event. Each runs in its own order. They are not three matched pairs, and no step in one has a partner in the other.

3×P — On the record

Pinpoint

Pinpoint is where control begins. No blur, no hiding.

Process

Process builds inevitability. Structure removes guesswork, and it is where the environment gets designed rather than endured.

Perform

Perform is proof. Identity renewed today, not a result banked yesterday.

New settings gain authority.

3×N — On the event

Nullify

Nullify removes power. The thought or the urge still arrived. It just does not get to decide anything.

Navigate

Navigate is not the moment to work out what to do. It is the moment to go and get what was already worked out.

Neutralise

Neutralise is the long game. The old pull turns up less often, carries less weight, and stops setting policy.

Old defaults lose authority.

The core layers

01

The checkpoint

Stop. Zoom out. Review what is true. Before any plan, TRC asks for an honest look at the settings already running your life — the ones you chose and the ones that crept in while you weren't watching. Most people have never actually run this audit. TRC starts there.

02

The three dimensions

The audit runs across Mind, Body and Soul. Each dimension has a core — the thing quietly running it — and an Activation Sequence, the thing that shifts it. Mind runs on beliefs and activates through choices. Body runs on standards and activates through changes. Soul runs on values and activates through commitment. That's the Blueprint, and everything else in TRC hangs off it.

03

The operating loop

Review. Realign. Rise. Review is seeing where you actually are, without the story you usually sell yourself. Realign is adjusting what no longer matches the person you're deciding to be. Rise is living the better setting often enough that it begins to become identity rather than effort. The loop repeats whenever life starts pulling you back towards old settings — which it will.

Deeper in the method

The book carries the full framework. These layers are signposts, not summaries.

04

The interference

Knowing better is rarely the whole problem. Between knowing and doing sit real obstacles — cognitive bias, emotional chatter, friction, distraction and quick-reward habits — and they interfere with action in ways that have nothing to do with willpower or character. The Vicious Cycle is what it looks like when days run on autopilot: a negative approach to your core becomes dysfunctional rules of engagement, which feed a thought loop that lowers motivation and escalates negativity, which feeds the approach again. The book spends a full part on this interference, because you can't realign settings you can't see.

05

The two action engines

3×P works on the record. 3×N works on the event. Each runs in its own order. They are not three matched pairs, and no step in one has a partner in the other.

06

The operating language

Deeper in the book sits a working vocabulary — language for the moments when you're tired, distracted, emotional or tempted by old settings. It isn't homepage material and it isn't meant to be memorised for dinner parties. It's what you reach for when it counts, and it belongs to readers who've done the earlier layers first.

None of this is therapy, and none of it claims to be. It's a structure for adults willing to look at their own working. The book walks the whole method in order.
